The subject of death is often a bitter one.
I, for one, find myself to be... 'apathetic' on the subject.
My relatives - close ones - died nearing the end of my highschool years. Did I care? No.
Eventually, every living thing must die. Perhaps it is this one fact that gives way to my uncaring nature.
Thinking back to when I was a child, I remember being asked if I was afraid to die. Yes, an
Old man - he had to have been in his late seventies - asked me that question when I was just a boy.
Death was an entirely new concept to me, then. Of course I was afraid. So I answered the man, "Yes,
I am afraid - I don't want to die!" He laughed as he told me, "Nobody wants to die." Perhaps. But what
Everyone shares in common is that we'll all die. So is it really worth the sorrow and tears..?
